History of WAF
The First Pentecostal Church of Little Rock, Arkansas, was founded in 1917 by about a dozen people.  They originally met in homes, store buildings, and rented space.

Today, a beautiful brick edifice graces five sprawling acres overlooking the busiest interstate highway in Little Rock.  The church building seats approximately three  hundred people, and there is a large educational wing and gymnasium within the complex.

First Pentecostal Church is now The First Church, Inc., dba Word Aflame Fellowship (WAF), but the commitment of this congregation remains consistent with that of its beginnings decades ago.

Word Aflame Fellowship believes in becoming involved in the community in which God has placed it, but also is involved in world missions as mandated by Scripture.

Word Aflame Fellowship is affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International, St. Louis, Missouri.
